Actor Kangana Ranaut reiterated her statement and threw jabs at other celebs while speaking highly of herself, a day after making news and becoming the focus of heavy abuse on social media for drawing comparisons to Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan. Kangana, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate in the Himachal Pradesh Lok Sabha seat of Mandi, asserted during a recent campaign rally that she is the only celebrity in the film industry to be treated with the same level of affection and deference as Bachchan.
